Advanced Skills Training in South Australia

GPEx has been working in partnership with Country Health SA to create GP Registrar advanced skills training positions in anaesthetics and emergency medicine within South Australia.

We are pleased to advise that five positions have been approved in principle to commence in February 2018:

  • Royal Adelaide Hospital
    Anaesthetics – 1 position
    Emergency Medicine – 1 position
  • Lyell McEwin Health Service
    Anaesthetics – 1 position
    Emergency Medicine – 1 position
  • Flinders Medical Centre
    Emergency Medicine – 1 position

These positions are only available to rural pathway registrars.

We are now inviting expressions of interest from eligible rural pathway registrars for these five positions. If you have already completed an advanced skills training position, you are not eligible to apply.

Note: if you are following the RACGP pathway, you must join the FARGP to do an advanced skill. Further information is available on the website.

Expressions of interest should include a copy of your CV as well as a covering letter clearly outlining why you wish to undertake advance skills training and, in particular, what you bring to the position and how you hope to use the skills in your future career. Applications must be received by Thursday 31 August 2017 and can be emailed to Zoe Hubball, Program Training Advisor at GPEx.

Should you require more information, please contact Dr Peter Clements or Zoe Hubball on 08 8490 0400.
