The 2018 Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) application and selection process

The selection process for medical graduates wishing to apply to the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program will be managed by the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

The change in process was announced by the Assistant Minister for Health, The Hon Dr David Gillespie MP.

Applications open on Monday, 10 April 2017 and close on Monday, 8 May 2017. Applications are submitted online to the Department of Health (DoH), who will review applications and determine eligibility for the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program.
